Been Bag Chairs and Civility

I recently received a note in the suggestion box that read:

"Please get rid of the bean bag chairs. I cannot get a book from the shelves without stepping over 3 people sleeping in the aisles."

Yesterday, I received an incident report that a person sleeping on a bean bag cursed at one of our student workers who was trying to do her work reshelving books in that aisle.

Cursing at someone who is working in the library job is unacceptable. The bean bag chairs cannot be used in the stacks because other students cannot get to the books they need and other students cannot get their work done.

Be considerate, think of others not just yourself and don't sleep in the book stack aisles. There are plenty of other cozy places around the library where you will not be in the way of people trying to research and working.
