Two-Sided Printers

Q:
Library-
2 sided printers need to return to all stations. Thank you.
From: Ted R.

A: Christopher Cox, Interim Director of Libraries, responds...
Thank you for your feedback. The decision to move from duplex to single-sided printers was made by the Student Technology Commission, due to the costs of having so many duplex printers on campus. The duplexers used in the library and throughout campus had a short lifespan and were prone to jams resulting in costly repairs. In the library as well as in other labs on campus, you will now find a more robust duplex printer with single-sided printers to be used otherwise.

We apologize for any inconvenience. Complaints regarding this decision should be referred to the Student Technology Commission. Due to increased print volume, the library hopes to acquire one more duplex printer in the near future.

Welcome to the Library Suggestion Blog

For years, suggestions, complaints and questions about library services have lived on a board on the first floor of the McIntyre Library. Suggestions were written on yellow sheets of paper and put in a suggestion box.

Starting today, each suggestion, complaint, or question you ask us about our services on the yellow form and from the electronic suggestion form will be posted here, online. Using a blog will allow each entry to have it's own URL, allow it to be coded by subject so you can search for previous answers to your burning questions, and also allow you to comment.

We hope you enjoy this new service and please, keep those comments coming! We're here to serve you better!
